We Love Your Lawn as Much as You Do

At Turfmaster we have the knowledge and experience to know what your lawn needs. Servicing lawns for better than three decades, we give your lawn special attention right from the start. Every lawn is different and requires different solutions. Custom blended fertilizers will give your lawn superior color and vigor while systemic insecticides provide seasonal protection against chinch bugs, sod web worms, army worms and mole crickets. A thick, healthy lawn will block out most problems including certain weeds, but when weed control is necessary we carefully apply all the latest herbicides.

Scheduled Lawn Care

Our lawn care program consists of a combination of granular and liquid fertilizer applied every one to three months, depending upon condition and type of turf. Weed and insect control is also included throughout the year, protecting your lawn from common lawn pests such as chinch bugs, sod web worms, army worms and mole crickets. Minor lawn disease control is also included.

  • Detailed invoices

  • Granular slow release fertilizers

  • Liquid fertilizers with essential minor elements

  • Insect control against all lawn damaging insects

  • Weed control for treatable weeds

  • Minor disease control

  • Pre-emergent weed control to prevent weed germination

Core Aeration

Health and beauty are root deep.  Over time, the soil beneath your lawn gets compacted, which impedes root growth. Compact soils prevent grass from establishing a healthy root system and keeps air, water and fertilizer from reaching the roots. Common causes of compaction include:

  • Foot traffic

  • Lawn maintenance

  • Heavy rains

  • Clay soils

For a beautiful, healthy lawn you need to get air, water and nutrients down through the thatch and soil to the root zone. Aeration makes this possible.

Core Aeration Benefits

  • Enhancing water absorption

  • Improving fertilizer effectiveness

  • Reducing water runoff and puddling

  • Improving turf cushioning and resilience

  • Enhancing heat and drought stress tolerance

  • Improving overall air exchange

Irrigation Services

Irrigation Installation

We will design & install an irrigation system custom built to your home landscape and the terrain of your property. The components & layout of the irrigation system is unique to each property.

System Maintenance

It is important to maintain your system at least twice a year for optimal use.  Our regular maintenance plan is a quarterly visit that will:

  • Adjust all heads and rotors for proper coverage

  • Check and adjust timer

  • Flush system if required

Sprinkler Repairs

We offer sprinkler repair services for broken sprinklers, broken pipes, installing water wise sprinklers and irrigation systems and installing low volume / drip irrigation.

Sod Installation

Being in Florida we do not have the benefits of seeding preferred cultivars like St. Augustine grass or Zoysia grass. Instead, sod farms grow the grasses, cut them out in pieces or rolls, and bring them to your home to install an instant lawn.

When it comes to deciding what variety of grass to put down, eliminate the guesswork and let our professionals evaluate your property, and eliminate costly mistakes like planting the wrong grass.

New sod is susceptible to many issues during the grow-in phase. Additional watering is required and can cause excessive weeds, insects, and especially disease. Our recommendation? Go with a company that does it all and eliminate the finger-pointing that happens when things go wrong!
